God's Free Gift
Want to know how you can have a personal relationship with God?

Here are answers from the Bible to questions you might have:
Do I need salvation or to be saved?
God is holy. And because He is holy, no sin will ever enter His presence. (Psalm 97:2)
Man is full of sin. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Sin is what separates us from God. Isaiah 59:2 says, "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you."
It is impossible for man to save himself. Romans 3:20 says, "By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight."
The penalty of our sin is death. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Is there hope for me to be saved?

God sent His only Son to save you from your sins. 1 John 4:10 says, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins"
The Saviour invites the sinner to recieive Him by faith and says, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
There is forgiveness of sins and salvation available to you today. 1 Peter 3:18 says, "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God".
So, how can I be forgiven of my sins and have this salvation through faith?

Its as easy as A,B,C
Agree with God that you are a sinner unable to save yourself and that you are in need of a savior. Romans 5:8 puts it this way, "God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and ask Him to be your Savior. John 1:12 states with confidence, "As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name".
Confess the Lord Jesus Christ before others. Romans 10:9 says, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved".
Now if you have done that look what the Bible says about your decision, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24)

Praise God if you have made this sincere decision today. The Bible says that you are now a "new creation" in Jesus Christ. So your next question may be, "What do I do now?". Well, growing in understanding and knowledge of the Bible and walking as a new Christian are essential for your spiritual growth.

Here is a list of steps to grow in your faith and walk with Christ:

  • Baptism (Identifying yourself with Christ) - Acts 8:35-40
  • Bible Study - reading and studying the Bible is essential to your growth and to answering all of life's questions. Read these scripture references - Psalm 119:105 & 2 Timothy 2:15
  • Be one that devotes themselves to prayer daily where God can meet your needs - Luke 11:2-4
  • Be part of a good, Bible believing/preaching, local church.
  • Be sure to share your faith with others. Read these scripture references - Matthew 10:32 ; Acts 1:8 ; 2 Timothy 1:8
